This baby-faced Grenadian sensation started off with a great year in 2002, hitting the top of the charts with his first attempt at soca, "Wood Cant Done". This young man, who is set to take the soca industry by storm, started singing at age ten, entered the industry at 16, and counts as his musical influences Michael Jackson, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer. Baby Killa brings a Ragga element to Soca and maintains an edge that Grenadian soca boasts over the music coming out from other islands in the Caribbean. In August of 2004, Baby Killa won the Grenadian Soca Monarch competition with the carnival anthem, "Thunder Rags", performing on the night with a neck brace on after suffering a serious car accident the day before. In 2005, Baby Killa used the B-side of his hit Monarch winning, "Get Ready (Whine If Yuh Whining)" to mash up Trinidad Carnival. His exciting performance and acrobatic dancing wowed audiences at the International Soca Monarch and that propelled the Killa into a group of elite soca artists. The pulsating "King Returns" was the song for Baby Killa to retain his crown in Grenada but due to conditions of the Soca Monarch competion venue, he did not compete, yet he still showed up for his Grenadian people and gave another wicked performance. Unphased by his down year in 2005, Killa put the name "Baby Killa" to rest and officially picked up his nickname, Mr. Killa. He then proceed to effortlessly snatch the Groovy Monarch and Soca Monarch crowns at 2006 Spicemas in Grenada. With a slew of constant hits Mr. Killa has proved that he is the sickest artist in the Caribbean and although he looks like a baby...trust...he is a KILLA! WARRIOR!
